TSA Team Brings Home Some Hardware!

This year, the TSA team took 34 students to our state conference at Seven Springs results.

The team brought it home at the award ceremony! Our LMS team is only four years old, making their accomplishments even more incredible.

Every student on the team made the semi-finals in at least one event, and many students made the semi-finals in multiple events. They brought home 45 top-ten placements, with an incredible 11 in the top three! They took four first places, five-second places, and two third places.

Six of the teams in the top three were invited to be PA representatives at our national conference later this year, which is a tremendous honor.

Congratulate these winners when you see them in the hallway!

Mini Neon-aThon at LMS

The kickoff to our first annual mini-Thon happened today in the gym at LMS and will rage until about 8pm tonight. The original fundraising goal was $5,000, with a promise from Dr. Ross himself to shave his head if reached. Within the first hour, the goal was met and exceeded! Be on the lookout for a follow-up post!

TSA Regionals

This weekend our TSA chapter DOMINATED our regional conference at Colonial Middle School. These LMS students exceeded expectations, raising the bar for who got invited to our state conference in April. Based on parents from other schools googling our name, we are now the school to beat.

Regionals by Numbers:

72- Students in our chapter

66- Students who qualified for states in at least one event

32- Students who qualified for states in two events

11- Students who qualified for states in three events

4- Students who qualified for states in four events

9- First place awards

8- Second place awards

6- Third place awards

3- Pages of awards, the most of any middle school

Please say congrats to any of the students you see in the photo attached, as they did an amazing job.

Special shout out to Dr. Parks for her tireless work championing these students!

Tip-Off Tournament

To our 8th girls and boys coaches, and of course our 8th grade student-athletes, thank you for your efforts on and off the court.  You coached/played with passion, pride, and sportsmanship, leaving everything out on the court. We are so proud of you!

CONGRATULATIONS to our 8th Grade Girls!  They won the Championship over Twin Valley on Saturday, 17-13.  Samantha Schildknecht was the team MVP.

Our Boys lost a hard-fought championship game to Spring-Ford, 30-24.

See the attached photos of our Girls and Boys teams from the weekend.

Indian Heritage Day

LMS enjoyed a visit from community members to learn more about the Indian culture, including its music, dance, food, art, architecture, fashion, and entertainment. What a vibrant and fulfilling day of learning! Thank you to all of LMS’ students and families who put together a wonderful day.

Turkey Trot 2023

Students and Staff enjoyed a sunny, albeit BRISK, trot outside on Monday before Thanksgiving Break. The Turkey Trot added a new component to the day in the Golden Drumstick one mile race, along with the always fun and competitive Dodgeball Tournament. All proceeds went to our school group called Helping Hands which provides much-needed supplies to families within our LMS community.

Veterans Day Assembly

LMS welcomed local veterans to its stage in honor of Veterans Day. Our lions heard from military service people from every branch and were able to ask questions, too. We learned how some of them made the decision to join while others were drafted, and we stood for their sacrifice and service to our country, vowing to remember why this holiday is so important.

Sweater Weather

The cool air finally made its way to Lionville today, and we are ready for it!

With Fall sports picking up speed and concert season around the corner, LMS is a buzz of activity. If you walk the halls at any given moment, you can see students engaging in hands-on Science experiments, drafting what will surely be the next big hit in the bookstores, and immersing themselves in history and the world of mathematics. 7th and 8th grade teachers have also begun their custom-made team activities, which brings the students together in the spirit of our united #lionnation.
